Gold School

Since its inception, hip-hop has been a means of seeing, experiencing, celebrating, understanding, confronting, and commenting on life and the world through pulsating beats, potent lyricism, and visceral performances. The poetics and rich history involved in this genre of music, however, are often ignored and masked by negative stigmas. The Gold School symbol set was created to showcase some of the great names in hip-hop and their respective influences in a new light that combats false perceptions in an illustrative and charming way.
