The UW Design Show is an annual exhibition hosted by the graduating cohort of senior and masters students.
Each student presents their capstone—an open-ended project to celebrate their unique perspectives as designers.
Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey—from professors, to TAs, to alumni and visiting guests—thank you to everyone who helped us along the way.
Industrial Design (ID)
Industrial Designers are trained develop physical forms, derived from patterns of use, requirements for function, and constraints imposed by industrial manufacturing and aesthetics driven by social context. Key aspects in this view on design are understanding the interactions between people and technology.
Visual Communication Design (VCD)
The Visual Communication Design program educates and trains designers for the communication needs of industry and society. Faculty emphasize the objectives of design rather than the process of production, and encourage innovative visual ideas that inform, interpret, instruct or persuade the intended user across the spectrum of application.
Interaction Design (IxD)
Interaction Designers define the structure and behavior of interactive products and services. They create compelling relationships between people and the interactive systems they use, from computers to mobile devices to appliances; in other words, Interaction Designers lay the groundwork for intangible experiences.
