Fate vs. Free Will

In this two-books-as-one approach, readers explore how they may or may not make conscious decisions. Constructed as two books connected via a folding hinge on the back covers, one analyzes fate while the other analyzes free will. Readers may choose to read one book at a time or unfold them to be read together.

The Fate book (You Were Always Going To Read This) is set in a serif typeface, while the Free Will book (You Could Choose To Read This) is set in a sans-serif. Whenever a term or concept pertaining to the opposite book is mentioned, the relevant typeface interposes. These type choices both create a clear visual distinction between the two sides of the debate, and, more importantly, give a sense of how often they actually intertwine.
Suggesting that there is no clear answer to the debate, the publication ultimately aims to provide people with enough knowledge to come to their own conclusion.
