The Rat and the King Are Not So Different is an exploration in writing short-form fiction and visualizing through publication design and graphic novella-esque storytelling. Shreya’s story follows a young girl who lands up in a peculiar interaction with an otherworldly being. This encounter causes her to reassess the way she perceives the world around her and reframe the way she has been taught to interpret her life experiences. The tale is told through a 100-page, French-folded, soft-cover publication with beautiful imagery and hand-drawn illustrations.
