Strikke (stɾɪkə) a Norwegian word. Translated into English, it means ‘to knit’.
Strikke is a semi non-functional clothing brand for if you ever wanted to wear a pair of knitted underwear with a small scarf. This project is a collection of handmade clothing items. Each piece is hand-dyed and knitted over the course of several weeks using natural materials. Through these pieces I explored natural dye processes, textile design, photography, website design, and branding. The visual identity to accompany the pieces reflects the slow, natural method of creation, as well as the subtly wacky textile design selection.
