SOIL
The majority of portable cooking solutions for backpackers use additional fuel sources such as isobutane. alcohol, white gas, and solid fuel. These fuel sources requires packing additional supplies that can be bulky and are often wasteful. By looking into alternative power with the focus on heating up ready-to-eat meals will enhance the consumers outdoor experience. SOIL is a solar electric boiler for backpacking that focuses on being modular, waste-free, and using clean and renewable energy. The hidden solar panels are able to harness the sun shine and charge the internal battery that is then converted to be able to be used by the electric heater creating boiled water at the tip of your fingers.
